Account Information

When you register for GPS Spartan, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, company name, and password (securely stored using hashing).

GPS Location Data

We collect real-time location data from GPS devices installed in your vehicles, including latitude and longitude coordinates, speed, heading, and timestamps. This data is essential to provide fleet tracking services and mileage reports.

Vehicle Data

We collect vehicle information such as VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), make, model, year, odometer reading, and trip data (distance traveled, trip duration, start and end addresses).

Payment Information

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We only store the card brand, last 4 digits, and expiration date for reference.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you access and interact with our Service, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of access.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide real-time GPS tracking and fleet management services
• Generate mileage reports for IRS tax deductions
• Generate daily trip reports with business vs. personal classification
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send SMS messages for GPS device configuration (IoT configuration only)
• Provide technical support and service communications
• Improve and optimize our Service

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers necessary to operate our Service:

• Stripe — for secure payment processing
• Twilio — for sending GPS device configuration SMS messages
• OpenStreetMap/Nominatim — for reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates to addresses)
• Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal and GPS location data for as long as your account is active and you have an active subscription. Trip and mileage data is retained for at least 7 years to comply with IRS documentation requirements. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including: HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmissions, securely hashed password storage, PCI DSS compliant payment processing through Stripe, role-based access controls, regular database backups, and secure cloud hosting with Supabase and Vercel. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at sales@espartan.net.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to: know what personal data we collect about you, request deletion of your personal data, opt out of the sale of your personal data (note: we do not sell personal data), and not receive discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. 9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies for session authentication and language preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for marketing purposes. Session cookies are necessary for service operation and are deleted upon logout or expiration.
